Technical Parameters

The nanopore structure simultaneously inhibits three heat transfer methods: conduction, convection and radiation. In an LNG transportation environment of -163℃, a 3mm thick aerogel sheet can be equivalent to the thermal insulation effect of 10 times the thickness of traditional materials; at a high temperature of 650℃, its thermal conductivity is still lower than 0.025 W/(m·K), and it is widely used in thermal runaway protection of industrial pipelines and new energy batteries.

 

Through the composite reinforcement process, the product's compressive strength can reach 4.2 MPa, the tensile strength is 315 kPa, and the compression rebound rate exceeds 90%. After the surface has been hydrophobic modified, the water repellent rate is ≥98%, which can resist water vapor erosion for a long time and avoid the problem of traditional insulation materials failing due to moisture.

 

Core manufacturing process


Using sol-gel method combined with supercritical drying technology:
Sol preparation: Silicon source (such as ethyl orthosilicate) is mixed with the catalyst to form a homogeneous sol.
Gel molding: The wet gel is formed by injection molding or coating processes, and the network structure is enhanced by aging.
Drying treatment: Supercritical CO₂Drying removes solvents, avoids pore collapse, and eventually forms a low-density aerogel.
Surface modification: The material is imparted with hydrophobicity through silanization and improves weather resistance.

Pure aerogels are indeed highly brittle, but the actual product solves this problem through "compound enhancement". Currently, the mainstream process is to combine with glass fiber, ceramic fiber or modified polyester fiber, so as to increase the compressive strength to 4.2MPa, the tensile strength reaches 315kPa, the compression rebound rate exceeds 90%, and it can withstand mechanical stress during daily installation and use.
